At least Judy's not afraid to come out in public for some other reason than to read to school kids. ;)

You consider one campaign appearance as "dragging her around"? Looks like you've been going to the same School of Hyperbole the Bush Administration attends...

Why did she suddenly show up here in Iowa? Can you honestly say that you don't think it was just a political move based on people suddenly making an issue about it and that dean is "slipping"? Did she have any purpose other than just trotting out there and saying that she was dean's wife since people have been making an issue about it? Was she not a "prop"?

Hmm...

You'll just argue over anything...

Of course her appearance was a political move. EVERY SINGLE move any of the candidates make right now is a political move, they're campaigning for the Presidency.

They explained clearly that the Harkens thought it would be a good idea, so there she came. She also made an appearance with Howard when he officially announced his candidacy back in June or July. A mass mailing went out a few months ago with a letter from her. She appears in the Dean campaign infomercial. So if you want to call her a prop for those things, then I guess she's guilty. I don't know what the big deal is, because she still will continue to work as a family doctor in Vermont until her husband wins the White House. Of course she'll make appearances at important events and for important things, but its pretty ridiculous to pounce on the Dean camp for this particular appearance.

Why must everyone always assume there was some ulterior motive? Surely she was just showing her respect for her husband. Why must there be some reason other than the one that's stated?

(think MLK ;) )

Dean's wife is only a story because the people who don't like Dean are furious that 1. She's allowed to have a career, 2. She's allowed to wear pants, and 3. She makes these decisions on her own.

Leave the woman alone.
