I hadn't heard of ECS until recently, but my friend bought one for a cheap system and it works great. Since then he has ordered a 2nd one for another system and it too works very well. It's very stable and performs quite fast (one was based on kt133 and the other on kt133a).

I didn't realize that they were that big of a company though, I may start to seriously consider them for some of my builds.

BTW - for those of us in canada, NCIX has these boards for a very good price :)

I can't believe that there's such a big difference between Gigabyte and ABit. I thought ABit was much bigger.

I used to use Asus but I wanted to build a very inexpensive motherboard and I heard a few good reviews on ECS motherboard k7vza so I tried it out. It is amazing. I have never had one problem yet. Bought it for another computer, same thing extremely stable.
I am buying another one right now actually.

They are not good for overclocking but for the people I build computers for they would never dare go near a bios screen or even unplug a cord from the back of the computer for any matter.

So I am happy for ECS they deserve a nice rank.
Hope great support keeps comeing from them in the future also.

The only thing I hope does not happen is that they boost up their price because they know that they have a reliable board and soon people will also and be willing to pay the premium.

<< Well said Modus, we do have some intelligence on here instead of the "PC Chips sucks" >>

Sorry, but I was bitten by their "fake cache" scheme a few years back and, frankly, I still won't trust this company no matter how much they have improved. I just can't believe that a company would create fake cache chips (with markings), then glue them to their motherboards (along with a hacked bios to read "256K Write Back Cache"). Therefore, I am entitled to say "PC Chips sucks".

One of the reasons ECS sells so many mobo's is because they are a major OEM supplier. Ever wonder who made that generic <fill in the blank> mobo. Chances are it could be ECS...

How do ya guys like biostar? I was reccomended it for integrated systems, or would you go asus over it? I don't really lke ASUS the most, I would rather use the more familiar PC-CHIPS even if it IS evil.
