I use it to flip between my computers on my shared monitor/keyboard setup. It's the hotkey for it.

Whoa!!!

I was sure they were gonna get rid of the scroll lock key before they got rid of the old double-vertical-lines key and replace it with something useful. Although I can't find much use in "|" besides doing the _,|,,

The | is quite useful in programming and *nix. It is shorthand for the OR also referred to as pipe when using a command line. command1 | command2.

Well, i was going crazy for a few days because I couldn't figure out why I couldn't nudge shapes anymore. gah...I eventually had a nervous breakdown and used MS help feature, causing further distress. However, the outcome was good and my problem was solved and I pass it on to you, the ATOT user.

scroll lock works with Lotus Notes client too.. it ties your arrow keys to the scrollbar function...
