at least its starting to show up a bit. price appears to be early ultra-d level- ~145 usd. i don't know why the crossfire is 30% less 😕

i want one of these with an x2 3800+.

heh, yeah I noticed that as well - I think we can say they got the prices mixed up.

tekheads.co.uk have had the DFI Crossfire board on pre-order for a while already - and it's £157 so I think we can say they've got their prices mixed up.

Was thinking if you ordered it now at the current price would they have to honour it?

could be, you're in England right? worth a shot.

i've vowed to try a different board other than the dfi, lol. i love 'em but i really want to try this grouper.

hehe though I suspect you can gte the best of both worlds ...since DFI are coming out with Crossfire, they'll probably be coming out with a Grouper too 😉

and yeah to being from the UK 🙂

I was planning a DFI Lanparty, Epox or Asus A8N-e for my next system, which will be overclocked.

But it looks like I'll get the Sapphire Pure Innovation 🙂

I hate being the guinea pig though. But someone has to 😉. What I generally do is wait about a month for them to get the kinks worked out with BIOS releases.

as author and keeper of the "ultimate mobo thread" i expect you to have board #2 (right after mine 😛 )

i will not be your guinea pig 😀

i'll wait for more reviews to pop up. especially consumer reviews so that will tell me of the potential problems

but i have a feeling this board is tops for the 939 socket. for features, for performance and for overclocking

Oh ! the pressure. Feel the damn pressure 😉. However I'm a bit more careful with my money (although all of us at AnandTech forums know that nothing in our life is more important than hardware right 😉?).

Edit: And I love the title of the post. It sounds like there's a nuclear attack coming soon... "BEHOLD: TEH GROUPAR!"

Having read up some more the SLi version hasn't got the same overclocking options as the Grouper - rather the Grouper will be exceptionally price gouged it seems.

We will probably in fact see a Grouper Crossfire later down the road.

Grouper isn't for what with it lacking enough PCI-E slots and primarily the future universal 4x PCI-E

Maybe future revision of the ATI chipset will have what I want.

well, i'm not so much bothered by the lack of a 4x pci-e as i am by the price.

169? ah well, we shall see. always the ultra-d (again) maybe i'll try the epox.
