It gets better!

<What's more, the install program, a file called CoolStuff.ocx, checks to see whether the victim is running a firewall, and terminates if it finds one.>

Umm... isn't that kind of just, wrong? If their program disables my security, and as a result I fall victim to an attack, couldn't I sue their company for all damages resulting from the clean up of this attack? Since my security was in place and functioning and their program disabled that without my consent, I would have to say I should be able to seek them out for damages....

Unless they make you read a disclaimer, you would probably have a decent lawsuit.

They might put their TOS in a popup, though...rofl

"In the nanosecond it took most people to recognize the obvious junk mail trap, the real damage was already nearly done. According to virus experts, code in the pages at KoolKatalog exploited a known flaw in an old version of the Java engine of Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser to covertly download the first of 10 files onto visitors' computers"

It doesn't matter how fast you Alt-F4. When it loads the popup, it loads the virus.
