Hercules vs. Gainward

Im looking to buy a new GeForce 3 TI200 and cant decide between the Gainward power pack golden sample version, and the hercules 3D prophet III.

Any thoughts?

Gainward!

I've tried a Hercules Geforce3Ti200 and the memories was only able to o/c to 500MHz and then it started to give bad colorspots over the screen.
According to several threads all around the net I would say Gainward. I've seen plenty of peeps that get the mem's to 540-550 MHz.

Easy choice this,go Gainward if you want very good 2D quality which is better then the Hercules.

🙂

Ive bought two Hercules cards now and all I can say is that they are an excellent company if you are willing to spend a few extra bucks. Although if you are planning to overclock that I have heard that Gainward's cards to go pretty high. If you arent planning to overclock than Hercules is the best choice.

My Gainward GF3 Ti200/450 Golden Sample is most excellent. Overclocks like a dream. I have mine running at Ti500 speeds (240/500) and that is well under what it can really do. I just wanted to save some for later.

My Gainward GF3 Ti500 2D is noticably clearer than my Hercules GF2 Pro's 2D was. Also, the Gainward has been a GREAT overclocker reaching 265/602 with stock cooling in my system. YMMV.

Gainward has much better 2D visual quality, and should be very overclockable... Hercules has the advantage of using very high quality components and should have a distinctive advantage in long term reliability. Hercules also has far better tech support and RMA policies.

Personally I'd go with the Gainward, but it's all a matter of what's more important to you.
