Hercules Ultra + Arctic Silver?????

Hello, everyone. I am planning to buy a Hercules 3D Prophet II Ultra 64MB for my computer. I thought I remember reading somewhere that Hercules doesn't ship enough conducting material between the GPU and the HSF unit. I was wondering if that when I got the card, if I could wipe off their stuff and slap on some Arctic Silver on the GPU?

I have a visiontek ultra and I was gonna do the same thing when i get home

yup....i beleive they use pins to fasten the heatsink down to the GPU so it souldnt be too hard removing the sink and wiping off the gunk they put on. ive removed mine off my CL GTS which was fastened with glue and put on an application of thermal paste and topped it with a blue orb and gotten the core up to 250 Mhz....32 Mhz more than what my old retail heatsink was capable of doing.
