I'm looking into buying a sound card right now but I need one that'll do the following:
take an optical toslink connecter input (from a ps2/directv receiver/external dvd player)
and play accordingly with a 4.1/5.1/6.1 setup (through the analog speaker connectors), i wanna play dvds via my ps2 on my logitech z560s with dolby digital, etc.
the hercules cards have a bunch of connectors and i know they support ac-3/dolby digital passthrough
i'd like to stay away from sound blaster cards but if i need to i will get one
