I have been using the original device driver(off of the CD) since I got the video card. And last week, I just felt like updating the driver, so I went to Hercules' website, and downloaded the lastest Windows 2000 driver. After the installation, Win2k asked me to reboot, so I did. After rebooting, the Monitor Res went to 640 x 480, so I went to device manager to check what's going on, then the device listed under the "Display Adaptor" tab said "VGA", which I'm guessing is the Win2k default video driver. Well, so I tried to install the driver again, this time from the CD, well the same results happened: right after installation, the Device listed under "Display Adaptor" would be correct, but after reboot, it would go back to "VGA". This happens everything I reboot, and Win2k would say "New Device Found" everytime as well.
Anyone know why my video card driver won't STICK?
