So I'm playing Empire Earth for 30 minutes or so when I get my first ever BSOD in WinXP. It mentions cwcwdm.sys as the file causing the problems. So I restart the computer and right when I boot up I get a System Failure notice. I keep getting the BSOD every 20 or 30 minutes and have to restart the computer in order to play again.
I never had this problem when my SB Live Value was installed and since cwcwdm.sys is a GTXP driver I'm going to go out on a limb and say that's my problem.
I've tried both the 3.01 and 3.02 drivers and have the same result.
Using the 4 in 1's that came with WinXP Pro.
My rig:
Epox 8k7a
AMD AthlonXP 1700+
512MB DDR
Hercules GTXP
ATI Radeon 64MB DDR
Running WinXP Pro and Win98SE dual boot. I haven't tried the game in Win98SE yet though.
