Hercules Game Theater XP Problems HELP!!!

I just switched my old SBlive value with the Game Theater, and so far I'm not impressed!
In some games the music and the sound effects skip, while they skip the
whole game is very slow. In other games the sound quality is very bad, the sound
seems kinda fussy in high frequenzy sound effects. My first thought was a that it might
be a interrupt sharing problem but I swapped a the pci cards around until the sound card
had its own interrupts. I also downloaded the newest drivers and tried various settings
in the control software. Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?

I got one yesterday to replace my Live Value. Works flawlessly in win2k with the newest drivers. I did a clean install though. You should try deleting everything that Liveware left behind in the registry, and believe me it leaves alot of crap. Don't give up on it, it's a great card.

well i just clean install win2000pro and use latest hercules xp sound card driver after that it work fine. but when i listen music for more than 20 than the sound began changing very weir. like it product it own sound like boiling water but i stop play music and play again it gone away.

Have to agree with Sugadaddy here. I replaced a SBLive value with this card and I had all kinds of problems. After going through and cleaning up all the registry settings to remove the liveware stuff I reinstalled it and now it works great. Very, very good card.
