Just got this card yesterday and I have to say its Win2k performance is excellent...way better than the CL or Philips cards. Unfortunately I've run into a very strange problem with sound output through 4.1 speakers.

When I do an auto-rotating test, I get sound from every speaker except the surround right. The sound for the surround right comes out of the headphone jack. I've tried messing with different settings, unplugging the headphone, etc. Nothing seems to solve the problem.

Has anyone else encountered anything like this with the Herc or any other sound card?

You may want to send a PM to Chad. He seems to be an expert an avid promoter of this card 😉
At least, he seemed to be the one who figured out how to successfully install the drivers for this card under Win2k. He may be able to help...
