i don't feel like reading it, but if it's the same one i read the alpha beats it because it has more surface area.

I'd go with the alpha with the embedded copper slug. CU conducts better, AU radiates better...copper contact with the core, and aluminum to radiate the heat into the passing air. Something like that. anyone paying attention in their hs physics classes?

save your money and get the taisol. it costs $11.30 and is almost as good as the alpha.

Tuffguy is right, that taisol is perfect. I have one that has the copperbase (im not sure if they all have this) and the aluminum upper. The fan on these things are super weak. I put a much larger fan on mine and now I have one duron running at 950 (temp 35) and another at 850 (temp 41) ... The duron at 850 is running on a larger, more expensive heatsink, ... it unfortunately is all aluminum, but it was recommended by many people ...

If you live is washington...

That taisol was available in -> Federal Way -> Infotech systems (www.infotechnow.com)

Btw, I bought my Duron 650 there for 62 dollars. They also sell some pretty good Infineon Ram (PC133) that does great under overclocking situations for just over 100 dollars
