Helping Choosing a new Video Card and Monitor

Hello! Im about to make myself a budget gaming rig and needed help choosing a monitor and a video card. The Budget for my Video Card is around $130 CAD and for the Monitor is around $250 CAD. So far these 2 are my top favorites:Acer AL1916WASD and ATI Radeon X800XL. Any of you find anything wrong with any of these? and does anyone have a better suggestion for me? Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions.

with a 800xl you will be playing your games at 10X7 and even 800*600 in the near future. get a 15" monitor instead and get a better card.

Stop giving crappy advice, who the hell recommends a 15" monitor when his budget is $250CAD

An X800XL is fine for that resolution if you don't a lot of eye candy. Also depends on what games you are playing.

Well the thing is that i am not able to find a card anywhere close to the x800xl in that price range, anyone got a suggestion? And what do you guys think about the monitor? is it any good for gaming?

It seems a 7600GT is way above your price range so an X800XL seems to be the best choice for you.

The Acer monitor should be great for gaming since it has 5ms response time.
