My sister has a coworker with displaced relatives who have fled Mississippi and recently arrived here in Orange County, Southern California. I know that the displaced family consists of 3 adults, a 12-year old girl, and a toddler, but I don't yet have additional details. We're currently gathering our unused clothing and food, to send to the family to help provide for their care.
I'm currently trying to put together an information packet to send along to the family which gives them a list of local resources they can turn to for more help. So far, I've found a FEMA Disaster Assistance application. Most of the other disaster-related websites I've found only have instructions for accepting donations.
Does anyone know of any other organizations in Southern California which are able to assist in helping displaced families?
Thanks!😀
