i need a new job...mine sucks. Two years of blood and sweat working for Kmart, not to mention all the hours i've put in off the clock to try and turn the store around, then they have the nerve to write me up today and console me about my priorities. I've just started management training, but i want out...i'm still doing the same things that i was previously doing as Pantry Manager, but answering management calls and taking conference calls now. Anybody hiring?

We should start some kind of networking thread here on Motozine for people looking for a job/people hiring...i know a few of you guys are without a job right now.

today is tbe day we get our pantry frieght in from Fleming. I looked into the milk coolers after not cleaning them for a few days and noticed mold on most of the shelves. I took it upon myself to clean the shelves and scrub down the coolers instead of working freight. I'm losing more and more faith in Kmart each and every day.

WTF?

That kind of initiative sounds like something you would look for and praise in an employee. If Kmart has the kind of attitude to reprimand you for that then it's no wonder why they are in bankruptcy!!
 
You've worked off the clock, thats a bunch of bs! I'd never work off the clock!

Hang in there and go back to school man, only way you are gonna get anywhere.
