Help!

Okay, heres the problem. I'm 14, and am in band next year, and didn't anticipate the incredible cost. I need $375 in a month, I'm currently next to broke, and don't have anything in my bank acount. I don't have a job, and it wouldn't be really reasonable to get one (though if all else fails, I could). I don't have anything of value to sell. Any suggestions? I need help fast. Thanks!

talk to your band director about it... Most band directors would gladly offer something of help as they wouldn't want an aspiring young musician to lose out because of a mere inability to pay $375.

WOW! That's one expensive band! What the hell do you do in band that would require that amount of cash? When I was in band we did quite a few trips but never cost that much.

Anyways, one option is always to talk to you director. The other option is to find sponsors in your area. Go door to door and ask them if they would be willing to sponsor you for $10/month or something for the year. Tell them that you want to be a musician but unfortunately cannot get a job because underage (I think this law still applies). So if you get some people to commit to this, then you'll be set. But ask for a discount from the director if they won't eliminate it altogether. Good luck to you.
