HELP!!!!!

ok heres the deal:

i got a asus a7pro mobo and thunderbird 900 a week or two ago, and heres whats confusing me. i can play any game on my system perfectly fine EXCEPT any game that uses half life and half life it self, i'll be able to play for about five mins before i'm instantly rebooted. and that doesn't happen in quake3 where i would expect it to happen WTF!

any ideas?

everything the latest, the cpu runs at 40 - 45c i think thats too hot my self is that too hot?

40-45 should be fine..From what I know over 50C is where it's too hot.
