True story. I had just bought a nearly 2K Dell XPS 15 laptop like 6 years ago. I had it for a couple days and was tweaking it out and setting up. I had moved my desktop keyboard to the side and put the laptop there. It was evening and I had just poured myself a tall glass of vodka with juice. Well my cat jumped up and knocked the full glass over right onto that goddamn laptop and it became the delta of the Nile. I'd had him for like 4-5 years and he had definitely jumped on the desk many times, but never knocked over a glass of liquid onto my computer keyboard. And it had to be the day I had a nearly 2K laptop there instead of a 100 dollar keyboard.
Motherfucker. I bought another laptop the next day.
@MrSquished - Cats are a lot smarter than we give them credit for and part of that is that they do, on some level, understand human behavior.
So it knew that you spend a lot of time on the computer and the lappie sure looked like one so since the old one gobbled up so much of your time, It was obvious to the cat that the new one had to go.
Say I'm crazy, but I guarantee that's what happened. Cats are basically sociopaths. If something is interfering with their happiness, well, it must die.
