First off finally got linux working, Kubuntu. Ubuntu seemd a little to Macish for me (os9). Installed great got firefox loaded etc. Ended up screwing up my adept package manager. trying to add download sites.

I found sources.list that seems to have the erret line that that i added. Opened it up deleted the line but it wouldn't let me save it. What do i need to do here?

My journey. Started with Ubuntu, didn't really like the feel, deleted that. It seemed to work ok though. Downloaded PC-BSD, think I got a bad download, crash and burn couldn't get it to work at all after it was installed. Friend suggested Mandriva, Tried both i586 and x64 version, it didn't like the video combo. Downloaded Kubuntu Seems to be working fine other then previously stated problem.

any help would be apprciated.

Edit it as root. Open a terminal and type "sudo kate" (or kedit, or whichever editor you were using). Then open sources.list from the window that pops up, edit and save.
