Hey all,
I have the SST-TJ06 (Temjin 6) case which has a "Wind Tunnel" in it. I am trying to put the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum board in this case but I can't get the wind tunnel into the case because the one side of it is hitting the CPU. I guess the CPU on the MSI board is slightly offset as compared to other motherboards.

Anyone else have this configuration and if so, what did you do to get the tunnel in place?

Thanks!

Wow.. things just went from bad to worse... Apparently for whatever reason, the ATX 12V Power Connector is on the FAR corner of the board and the cables from my OCZ PowerStream 520W Power Supply won't even REACH it in the Temjin-6 case. I'm wondering if I made a mistake buying this case even though it got great reviews...

The problem with the TJ06 is that Silverstone themselves was not clear on the product page that a specific type of motherboard is necessary to work with the wind tunnel.

That information was actually on their Nitrogon CPU heatsink page instead, HERE.

My advice to you: Either you buy a server PSU with extra long power leads and run the TJ06 without the wind tunnel, or return it (if possible) and get something a bit less ambitious.

Well, after looking at the wind tunnel, I think I've decided what to do. I'm going to modify it to work. The TJ06 comes with an insert so it can work in a dual CPU system, however the location of the insert is not where the CPU is. So, I'm going to cut the insert in 1/2 and extend it with the piece of plastic it replaces on the wind tunnel and then cut out the extra plastic from the wind tunnel so the insert will be long enough to cover the CPU.

So, I think that will work for that issue.

As for the power supply issue, Silverstone shows on thier page SST-PP01 Package, which is an extension for the ATX power supplies. However, I can't find anyone who sells is. The search continues.

Yeah, you can get power extension cables for those weirdly laid out cases - I recommend against those wind-tunnel cases for just the problems you are experiencing. And the air flow is really screwed up in that case even if you can use the tunnel. It also seems like there is an awful lot of wasted space in the design.

Thanks.. it was actually the 12v, square 4-plug cable that I needed to find, which apparently was extremely hard to locate. I did find it finally at Mwave.com so I should have it by Wednesday...
