im about to go to the airport- will the xrays damage my ipods hard drive and cameras sd memory card?

I've never had anything get damaged, including DV tapes.

no.

the xrays themselves never caused damage.

the problem was the big electric motors driving the conveyers.

they moved the motors away from the top part of the machine, so now there isn't a problem.

It'll make some types slighly radioactive.. be very careful around them. Don't have your laptop actually on your lap if it's gone through an x-ray machine...

All the x-rays do is take make your fillings buzz in your mouth. It's really trippy.

We had a number of 400 speed (and 800) rolls of film trashed by going through the xray over Thanksgiving...never had a problem with my memory cards or laptop though.
