Big problem
around december i installed the latest nvidia drivers
soon after, my games started displaying some dashes all over the screen (seemed like i was playing games through a mosquito net)
now, all of a sudden, my display will crash. Screen blanks off but i can here the sound from my music or tv card still going.
when i reboot, there are lines all over the screen and i cant boot normally (gets to win xp logo screen then blanks off again)
i can boot into safe mode though
i thought it was a driver issue, so i uninstalled display drivers, ran driver cleaner 2, rebooted, installed 53.03 drivers
thought that did the trick but apparently the issue is back

anyone have any trouble shooting tips?

Leadtek geforce 4 ti4600 (does anyone have a number for leadtek, i can never get through to them and they dont answer my emails)

Thanks

Sounds like a bad card to me. Are you overclocking it at all?

Yeah, it might just be a bad card like jfunk said...but if you can get into safe mode. try changing the refresh rate....that is usually the cause of getting to the XP screen and then not getting any further

Got through to customer support
Should be getting my replacement card by tomorrow
Very disappointed with cs though
The agent I dealt with kept replying to my emails in all caps with extremely simple responses
me "How long does the process usually take?"
her "IT'S A TWO WEEK PROCESS BUT HAVE NOT RECEIVE YOUR CARD YET."

did not even tell me when they received my card or shipped the new one
I had to email her twice to get the ups tracking #
ah well

While you're waiting for the new card, check the current one to see if the fan on it is spinning. I had a leadtek that had a fan problem, and apparently there were many others who had this issue as well. Card was overheating, causing all kinds of issues.
