HELP wxp machine won't 'stay recognized' on network...

we have a small router-LAN here and theres an xp box that has info on it that all the other machines in the LAN need access to. thing is, it doesn't stay connected for longer than 5 minutes. nothing changes... internet works etc, but the machine just sometimes is unaccessible and other times is accessible... rebooting seems to work but can anyone suggest why this is happening?

grrr :| 🙁

You do realize that XP can only support 10 simultaneous connections. If your needs exceed that, you'll need to upgrade to Windows Server.

what counts as a connection?
there's a total of 7 comps on the network but only 2 or 3 access the info at any given time

it worked fine on a 98 rig, just when i upgraded to xp it stopped working.
i set up another 98 rig a few mins ago and its all working again. so stupid.

on a side-note: this also happens to other xp machines, they just become unaccessible in the network randomly from time to time. and those have nobody trying to connect to them ..wtf.

last bump im goin home done for the day... someone plz make my day and give me some insight! 🙂
