help with XP-USB ports

Hi there,

A peculiar problem with USB devices baffles me in my XP system.

Whenever I reboot my computer fails to enable the USB device - an MS forcefeedback2 Joystick.

And within device manager the device appears with an exclamation mark - I disable - enable ... no good. I disable - enable again. and viola - Exclamation sign gone! device work!!!!

this happens everytime. I have to enable - disable exactly twice to have it enabled!

and this remains enabled until the time the system is on.
Reboot and it happens all over again.

Help Is needed here!

thanks very much

That is strange. Are the drivers being supplied by XP? I would try an get a new driver from Microsoft an delete it and reinstall with the new driver. Worth a try. Can't believe it is a bios setting but just to make sure I would check to see if all ports are enabled. I know on some boards when you set to performance setting they sometimes alter the usb setting.
