The path to wisdom begins with learning to not click on certain links. Thus far, that is a link I have avoided.

How about a cruise? They cater to people in his position, and he'll have the time of his life.

That's what I was thinking. The worst part would be the plane ride (if needed)to get to where the boat launches from. But once he gets on it should be easy to get around. All meals are provided, there's plenty of deck space for him to just hang out and feel the breeze and watch the ocean.

The choices are pretty limitless when it comes to the type of cruise you can take.

One day I hope to take my dad & brother on a trip following the path my grandfather followed during WWII (he was 82nd Airborne).

Edinburgh is a cool place. I sat in and watched Scottish Parliament for half and hour and it was fascinating, which is something I have never even considered for my OWN government. I was there for 24 hours in the middle of a 10-day trip to Ireland and took more pictures there in that 24 hours than in Ireland. Just be sure to plan ahead if he really does have trouble getting around or anything, as Scotland is mostly hills and certain parts of cities like Edinburgh are not convenient to drive through, in terms of both car accessibility and parking.

I would definitely recommend Scotland, though. I hope I get the chance to go back and spend at least a week there.
