Help with X-win

My x-win does not work over my dsl line.
I have a router, and i think that might be causing the problem.
I do change the display on the x-win config to my dsl's ip, not the router.
And yes, my router's dmz host is .100
The only way i can go on x-win is when i dial-up, but i don't what to use a modem.

Everyone i know can go on x-win, but none of them have a router

Please help

my x-win is 5.1.2 build 13
[edit] more info
router: Linksys BEFSR41
os:Win2000

Using netcfg:
In "Interfaces", add your NIC (eth0) if haven't done so.
In "Names", add the IP addresses of your DNS name servers (can be IP address of router too).
In "Hosts", add IP address and hostname (make-up one) of your router.
In "Routing", add IP address of gateway (router) and eth0 as the "Default Gateway Device" OR "route add default gw IP address eth0" in shell prompt.
Reboot.
