I recently installed a WLAN at home. The system consists of a Buffalo AOR station and 3Com pcmcia cards
in the client machines. Our laptops use the PC cards straight up, while my desktop has to use a 3Com
adapter card that lets you plug the PC card into a PCI slot.
It runs perfectly except that I cannot join any game servers at all. I suspect that its a port problem,
as the AIR station acts as a firewall. Other problems include not being able to send / recieve files
over programs such as ICQ and mIRC.
Can anyone shed any light?
Cheers
