Help with wireless network

I have a desktop running XP pro with a wireless pci card and ethernet 10/100 card. I also have a laptop with a wireless PCMIA card. In addition, there is a router providing internet to the wired lan. It is a DI-604. I was wondering how I would configure my equipment so that I can have the internet come into the desktop through the 10/100 card and share it with the laptop on the wireless network. The equipment works and the computers can communicate, I just dont understand how to set this up. I get IP address conflicts, or no internet. I can share internet on the wireless, but it wont get the internet from the 10/100 card.

Thanks in advance

I have other computers on the network besides these two going through the router. So the desktop cant be the router, if other computers are going through the hardware router. Any idea how Id go about doing this?
