Hey guys, I hope someone here can tell me what's up with this thing. I got an Acer TravelMate 290 with the mobile centrino setup. I took off XP home, and installed my pro version. All the drivers and everything I got off Acer's website, and everything is working just fine. Except the wireless connection.

What I have is an "Intel PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B PCI Adapter," or so says the hardware config. I can see the wireless connection, but I can't access it. I was able to after I installed XP Pro, but then it just cut out on me, after about 1/2 hour. And it hasn't worked since.

If somebody has any ideas, I'd love to know. Otherwise, it's back to BB. Good thing it's still under 14 day return. If more info is needed, I'll be around to post it today.

What are you connecting to (from your laptop) access point router? or wireless PCI card ?
Also the Intel PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B PCI Adapter comes with Intel network adapter, that may got conflict with window XP Pro wireless netwok adapter. You have to disable one of them.

I don't have anything conflicting, at least that I can see in device manager. I'm using the built-in wireless adapter. So no added-on anything. I'm connecting to a Netgear MR814 wireless router, which I can connect to with a cable, so it leads me to think it's a problem with the computer. Also, I saw someone post about this a while ago, but didn't see any resolutions to the problem.
