I am in a hotel on their free wireless connection. I have my laptop and Netgear wireless card.
I can connect to the internet. Every 30 seconds or so The "Connection Unavailable" dialog box comes up, I close it and immediaetly the "Signal Strength Excellent" box comes up.
It's like I am getting booted off but then can get right back on.
Are there some settings I should be looking at?
TIA

This is usually due to interference. Could be too many people on the same channel causing network collisions, could be the network is saturated (they need some QoS), or it could be due to other equipment working on the same frequency. If that is the case, there's not much you can do. Wait until a not so busy time of the day and see if the issue goes away. If so, tell them to get there sh!t togther if you are paying for it.
