help with Windows 98 error on install

linuxmajik

Junior Member
ok i was triple booting a machine with Win2k, Win98, and Linux.

i formated the WIN2k and WIN 98 partitions and left the Linux partitions.

now when i try to install WIN 98 the setup screen comes up and says " preparing your system for install yada yada yada..."
then i get a APPLICATION ERROR.... SUWIN in module <unknown>
its like 0234:adjWa(then some weird ascii) slekJEd......
not the exact error but its different #'s everytime.

is it the remaining Linux partitions?

if so how can i get rid of them?
i tried to fdisk , but it wont let me delete a drive that has logical drives within it.
yet when i try to view the logical drives with fdisk its doesnt see any.

normally i use partition magic, so i delete the Linux OS before i format my windows partion (every 3 months ) =(

any help is appreciated.
thanks.
