Help with Win98 Wordpad program error message and the printscreen key

I get this error message when I try to run wordpad.exe for Win98- Microsoft visual C++ runtime library
runtime error!
Program:C:\Program files\assessories\wordpad.exe
abnormal program termination
Now I have already tried uninstalling it and resinstalling, no change. Also my printscreen key don't seem to work, I can't get a screen shot of my whole desktop or get a shot of
any application window using the alt+printscreen combo. Any help with either topic will be greatly appreciated.

i got the exact same error before. i tried removing wordpad and adding it again but it was useless. it went away only when i reinstalled windows. i dunno if that's the only way to do it though...
