Help with Win 98SE

I rebuilt a good friends computer and spelled his name wrong when I loaded Win98. I need step by step help to correct my error. I know it's deep within the registry, can anyone help?😱

1. Run REGEDIT.
2. Click on HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion in the left pane.
3. Double-click on RegisteredOwner in the right pane.
4. Change the name and hit OK.

Thank you for responding PrincessGuard, however the REGISTEREDOWNER did not come up in the right pane window. I tried 5 times and got the same result. Are we missing something here?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

is where my Win98SE RegisteredOwner is located too.
Are you looking in the CurrentVersion folder or clicking on the + ?

My apologies I did indeed click on the + sign. I thank you both for the help. I can now fix my poor spelling and again stand tall in my little village as the resident geek. I once heard it said that a wise man does not have all the answers, but he knows were to go to find them. These forums confirm the truth of that statement. Thank you again.
