help with widescreen conversion with tmpgenc

For some reason whenever i use tmpgenc to convert a video it always changes the video from widescreen to full screen thus messing up how the picture looks becuase it is all stretched out. Does anyone know how i would keep the widescreen appearance when i convert a video
 
Dude, I have had this same problem for 6 months or so. I finally got it to work. It's in the settings one of the tabs you wanna make sure that you select fullscreen (keep aspect ratio). Also, on the first tab you want to mess with the screen settings, it depends on the movie. I got 640x480 to work on 1 movie but on a different one it didn't work unless I used 480x480. I don't know how much help I am, but hopefully you'll get it to work. Just play around with it. Let it go for a few mins, and then stop it early and play the video to see if it's what you want, that's what I always do! Good luck!
