Ok, so I'm moving into my first apartment and I need some advice! Most of this is technical related subjects, so I figured you all could give me some good tips!

First off....Do I want Cable or DSL? I was thinking DSL because it's not a shared connection and such and there doesn't seem to be a drastic change in price. I was thinking Earthlink, but, since I don't have a phone number yet, I can't be 100% sure of my availability. I primarily have Apples (4 Macs, 1 PC) and my roommate has 2 PC's. Funny thing on AT&T's website for their internet service....their broadband is fully capable of being use in Mac OS 10 and 11! lol

That brings me to my second question...opinions on phone service? I figured you can't go wrong with AT&T. I'm trying to keep costs down as much as possible.

Cable? I think Comcast is the only show in town, but I really rather not spend $50+ on my TV alone!

Oh, and back on the internet subject. I bought a Linksys WRT54G wireless router (802.11G) to help in this cause!

Any advice or personal experience?

get comcast for your cable and internet (you will get a "discount", because you will pay almost as much for just internet as you would for cable+internet...as far as your phone...just go wireless, that way you wont have to worry about long distance and your nights and weekends will be free
