OK this problem has been occuring for a long time now, I just never addressed it. I have a MSI K7 Master a nvidia 64mb Geforce4. Out of the blue, my system would freeze for 45sec-1min then the screen would become 8 bit in the lowest resolution. It said that the vid-card has problem. But I've tried switching with 2 other vid cards and it still occurs. I updated to the newest nvidia drivers and it still happens. I reinstall windows, and it still happens. Any1 have any ideas? thanks

Could be a quarky VGA slot. Try using a PCI video card; I know they suck but at least you'd know then that it is the slot on the MOBO that is the problem.

I wouldn't suggest BUYING a pci card just for a test.. If the motherboard is at fault (it's possible) I suggesting just RMA-ing the board.. An easier test (since everyone has one these days) - try a friends AGP video card..

Sounds like a driver problem. Motherboard or nVidia. Maybe time to reload windows??
