Help with WDDM?

Hi I recently updated my dell inspiron 1501 to Windows 7 64-bit. I want to personalize my computer to where I can change the colors and all that good stuff. When I try to switch my theme to the aero theme it doesn't work. I get the same old regular color changer instead of the transparency options. Everytime I try it it always asks me to troubleshoot and it gives me this exact message "The current video card may support Aero with a driver that is compliant with the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM). Contact the manufacturer of your computer or video card for a WDDM-compatible driver." I have no idea where to find this can someone please help me out?

A quick search shows AMD and I know they offer a driver utility...

Otherwise check Device Manager for the Display Adapter model to choose the appropriate driver download. Yes, it can be updated via Device Manager itself from Microsoft but that is generally the second-best option.
