For the life of me I can figure out why my WD WDCAC313000R can't function propertly at ATA/66. Everything looks to be in order but my drive appears to be significantly slower than my regular ATA/33 WD drive. It is ATA/66 enabled, set to UMDA 4 mode in the Controller card Bios all the new drivers are installed and I am using the sprecial IDE cable. When I run Sandra the damn thing crashes so I can even get any numbers to compa re. Any help would be grealty

I could not get my WD expert 13.6/7200 HD to work correctly either on my soyo mobo with the High Point onboard either. I finally gave up trying to get it to work. It worked and benchmarked WAY down when on the High Point IDE's. I know the drive wworked great in ata66 mode when I was using a High Point SIIG PCI controller card, so the problem was NOT the HD at all.

I did get a new Maxtor HD to work on the High points, but was getting lock ups in WIN98, so I gave up on that and use it in ata33 mode also.
