two suggestions for you:

1) Did you install the latest version of WCPUID? The latest version if 3.0f, however, you mention having version 3. So if you don't have it, I would reccomend going and downloading it. Here is the link to it ------> WCPUID 3.0f

2) Do you have admin rights on your Win2k machine when you run WCPUID? The program will NOT run if you are not an admin or don't have administrator rights due to the fact that the programs accesses a file which can only be accessed by an administrator.

See these two suggestions and see if they help you out. Let us know how it goes.... good luck :)

If you have an XP you need the latest version 3.0F. That should do it. I had 3.0b and it would give me a BSOD when my XP was installed.

ok, it's true that it's no big loss if you can't run WCPUID. Might i suggest another program to you then? :)

another great little cpu program is called CPU-Z. You can go to it's website over HERE.

To download it, click on this --------> CPU-Z v. 1.12

this program gives lots of cool info and should hopefully run for you as well. download it, try it out, and let us know how it goes.

good luck :)
