Help with VPN routers

Its only for like 2 computers. I was looking at the LINKSYS RV042. I liked this one especially cause of the redudant WAN ports. I really would like 2 WAN ports.

What I am asking is, will this be good for my purposes?
My purpose:

3 routers on the net. All 3 have redudant WAN connections. Router A is the central location and router B and C only talk to A. Would I just put in 2 IP address for the 'vpn central location' since it has 2 wan ports, hence 2 diff IPs from 2 diff ISPS? and that way if anything messed up it would just roll over and all this would be completly transparaent to the end user with no software to install on the computers,


Sound like an idea?

the linksys should be ok but I am not familiar with them. Do you have a static ip? If you have a dynamic IP a site to site VPN may be a problem. Nortel has a decent box that supports site to site vpns with the remotes having dynamic ip's.

I don't trust linksys yet in an office environment. I just ordered a 3com Office Connect VPN router today for a small office solution if it helps you.

I'm using the linksys SX41's for a site-to-site VPN and they have worked flawlessly for a year now. I did have to try a couple different firmware versions before it worked though. They support dynamic IPs or both client and server (through DDNS) although I wouldn't recommend that.

These specific routers don't have redundant WAN ports. I would purchase the linksys routers you are considering from a local store... if they don't work okay then just return them. Problems tend to show up pretty quickly so a 30-day return policy should be fine.

Yes, the central location will have a static IP. Sounds like everything is gonna work, as long as i can trust linksys to operate in a buisness enviorment... hrmm..

Good Luck with that. Make sure you thoroughly test every feature before assuming it's working. My experience with linksys is good for home networks where you can easily just power cycle it but for businesses that usually isn't a viable option. You should definately know if it's works within 30 days though. Just keep on the lookout for any lockups or things like that that require power cycling.

one thing I will interject just because I am really pissed off about it at the moment - don't go with the US Robotics usr8200. It might show up for you as a possible because it has 2 WAN ports. The thing SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS. It crashes when there is load on it, crashes when there is not. I was just adjusting some backup jobs over VNC on a customer's server that uses the 8200 as it's vpn router and the thing locked and took the connectivity down. It's embarrasing when you have to call a customer and have them walk to their server room to reboot equipment that you crashed.

Whatever you do don't buy Linksys RV016 it's a terrible vpn router.

I am currently using Sonicwall to host our vpn solution across 15 buildings. It's works very nice and can be setup on most of the SOHO models and it comes built in with the pro 100/200 series and 3060 and up.

Okay, This chick that has delivered my UPS mail is HOT. She is ~25 years old (that may be being nice). I just saw her for the first time yesterday, and I got another one in today. She is FINE. Very nice, and flirty. I auctually had to meet up with her yesterday because I was not there for a package, so UPS gave me her cell phone number to meet up with her.

All this being said, How do you come onto a chick when she is at work.

All I could really think of was to crack a few jokes then end with a, so, if sometime when your not working, would you like to go grab a bite to eat or something? Maybe go out to a bar(more chance of getting laid). I could always call her on her cellphone and ask if she wants to get a beer when she gets off work. I am getting a few more pkgs via UPS so I know I will see her again. She got to see me in my underwear when I answered the door today and she was smiling and starring at my crotch . edit: the real question here, is how to hit on a chick that is older than you. If she was my age or younger this would be a cake walk. I think its gonna be pretty friggin easy. I just don't know what older womer 'want to hear'.
