Help with voltages

I have an XP 2400+ in a GA-7ZXE. On the board the only way to change voltage for the cpu is with the pin-mod. In the BIOS it shows the proper default voltage of 1.65V but MBM tells me its 1.79V, speed fan tells me 1.74V, AIDA32 tells me 1.73V, CPU-Z tells me 1.732V. If I use the pin-mod for 1.60V or 1.65V it still tells me the same voltages that I got at default. Any ideas?

I have it set to the VIA 686B Standard, the others don't match my board. Gives me a list of VIA 686B on specific boards. My sensor is a VIA 686B but the board isn't listed so I chose the standard

yeah i tryed mbm5 on a kt133a chipset and it also was reporting it wrong
but i found sisoft sandra reported it right

i think it might be a bug

but as for all those other programs reporting it the same for you i dunno
maybe the bios is just overvolting it
that voltage shouldn't hurt it tho if all else fails

but you can always make it run at a lower voltage

good luck

Well I tried Sisoft Sandra and it tells me 1.80V, so I guess that MBM was right in reporting 1.80V. I think I'll be going board shopping sooner than I wanted. I think my temps fit with the 1.80V too. idle temps 19C - 44C - 22C full load 21C - 49C - 25C. And thats with a Thermaltake Smart Fan 2 @ 3800RPM (loud fan). I was leaning towards the Abit NF7-S rev2 but need some RAM still

Sounds like it is running at 1.8v then, can't you lower it in the bios?

Btw I have a KT133a mbrd too & MBM works fine with that:)
