Hi,
I just got my terminal adapter and need to hook it up. I'm hoping one of you can assist. AT&T customer service was of no help, except to say they can have someone come out for $135 and do the wiring.
I understand all of the wiring from the cable modem to the TA to the router, etc, but I'm unsure of how to hook up my existing phones.
Right now, I have a phone panel that has the wires punched down, and then RJ45 connections out to each of my phone lines. I did it this way initially so I could move any ethernet wire in my house from the phone hub to the router, and vise versa, depending on what I wanted that end outlet to be connected to.
So how do I wire this up? I'm guessing I need a cord with RJ11 on one end (to plug into the TA) and an RJ45 on the other end to plug into the "IN" on my phone panel. Does that make sense? Please see pic below?
Also, I just want to make sure, by doing so, that my business line (2nd line - orange wires) will still work. It should, right?
Link to my setup
TIA,
Aaron
