Help with Voange Service-Phone not working anymor!

Hi,

I have been using Vonage for more than 6 months without significant issues. But today morning, while I was on the call, my line got abruptly disconnected and so did my Internet service. After rebooting the modem and router, my Internet was back but my phones have stopped working. There is no dial tone. The phone lights are not showing up and two Ethernet Lights are blinking. My internet service is working without any issue. These are the details.

1. Your location Edison, NJ
2. Your ISP name and type : Optimum Online-Cable
3. Upload speeds : 6.99 Mbps
Download Speed 0.17 Mbps
4. Modem make and model : Motorola SB5100
5. Type of Vonage adapter used : RT31P2
6. Setup of Network ie Cable Modem---->Vonage Adapter-->PC
7. Issue you are experiencing ie dropped calls, choppy audio etc : No dial tone

I tried shutting it all down (Cable Modem, Adapter, and PC's) and restart all in sequence, waiting 2 minutes in between each device. Start with the modem, then the adapter, then the PC's". But no luck.

Any ideas, anyone??

Try first unplugging your telephone set from the jack ... if that doesn't work, try disconnecting
and reconnecting after about 5 mins or so at the Vonage adapter RT31P2
You may need to power down your Modem for about 10 mins or so

If all else fails use a cell phone or the internet link to contact Vonage .. they may need to
reset the telephone line in the Switch Eq
