I run an AMD thunderbird platform and would like to use it as a PVR. I have the avermedia tv98 with wdm drivers and pvr software. I also would like to output to TV and VHS. Sounds simple, right? I thought so too.
Like many of you, I upgrade video cards fairly often. I'd like to avoid spending the premium for tvout each time I get a new card. I run win2k pro So i figured the best solution would be to get a secondary videocard with VIVO built in. That way I could get plain jane/generic primary card and upgrade as often as I want ( I'm currently running a jaton gf2mx).
Unfortunatly most of the cards i've looked at either don't support disabling vga ( a requirement for secondaries in win2k) or wont capture video as a secondary or won't output to tv as a secondary! I'm stuck. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
