Okay so i just updated my computer to windows vista; i have two ata hard drives, one 80gb and one 120 gb. i setup the 120 as the slave and formated it prior to the install. when it came to installing vista, i used the 80gb one as the master and chose the new install option in the vista install that supposidly made xp inoperable. I am happy with vista, so i removed the 60gb folder windows.old, which in theory should have removed any trace of xp. everything runs fine, my computer has a vista rating of 4.2 and i am happy. the only problem is however, when i reboot my pc i am given an option of which os to chose; windows vista and ...... windows vista. why is this? i only installed vista once, and there is only one partition on my 80gb hard drive. i'd appreciate any help because im completely out of possibilities to explain this.

The simplest way to deal with this problem is go to:

Control Panel/Sytem/Advanced system settings

Advance tab/Startup and Recovery

In System startup, make sure Vista is highligted and uncheck the "Time to display list of operating systems."
