I am looking for some help to a video problem I have been having running games such as Madden 2004 and Raven Shield. The problem seems to revolve around lighting effects and looks like either red, blue, and green lines running over screens or disco lights flying around. I have tried everything I can think of from adjusting AA to changing resolutions. I am about to give up and buy a new card, but the 4200 should be good enough for what I want now and I hate to waste my money. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks in advance

My system is:
Athlon 2100+ on an Epox Nforce 2 board
1 GB RAM
PNY TI4200 128MB video card

I have all the latest drivers, patches and am running DirectX 9.0b.

if the problem started when you updated to the latest, try using an older set of drivers. usually when you get messed up graphics, the card is going bad. unfortunately, PNY cards suck. buddy owned a LAN cafe and had PNY ti4400's and about 30 out of 50 went bad. they just started showing weird lines and different colored pixels on the desktop and games.

or you could always try to repair the OS. maybe something got messed up and is now the suck.

Yeah... I'm thinking the card might be going bad on you. Try running with better airflow over the card (case open, if desired). It may be a heat issue.
