help with vaio laptop and application restore

i just bought a sony vaio pcg-fxa36 laptop and i upgraded from winxp home to pro, but i cant get the application cd to run because sony locks you from using it on computers you havent used the system restore for. is there any way to get this software to work or read the image off the cd or something. without any apps i will be forced to go back to home edition and i dont wanna. please help me!
