Hello all,

I have multiple rar files that I'm trying to put together using WinAce.
I keep getting a "CRC error: file could not be extracted correctly."
Am I doing something wrong? I highlighted all the files (.rar, .001, .002, etc..)
and then clicked extract and then pointed it to the directory I wanted to extract to.
All the files are of uniform size and seem to be ok. Are they corrupted? does this mean I have to download them all again?
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

I know that with WinRar (which is what I'm using) you simply extract the .rar file (don't select the other files). WinRar will then get the other parts of the compressed file from the .001, .002 files.

Anyway, if you even with this methode still get a CRC error, you'll have to download the corrupted files again.

Well, sorry folks. nevermind I figured it out. I just extracted the rar file this time
and then a window came up asking me for the .r00 path. I pointed it to the directory but then manually had to change the name from 'file_name.r00' to 'file_name.r00..r00' for each file (all 38 of them!!) But after that it worked.
Thanks anyways.
