help with using icq on a different computer

i want to transfer my icq contacts onto a friend's computer without transfering all the message histories, can someone tell me how to do that? the files in the 2000b folder are too huge to be copied onto a floppy and for some strange reasons, i can't send files to my friend using icq

did you try copying the folder then sending the copy of the folder? it would make sense that you cant send the icq database that youre using at the time. if that still doesnt work, have you tried sending through email or through aim?

i meant, i can't send any files to my fren on icq for some reason... and the databases are too big to be sent through email... i was wondering if it's possible to just transfer the contacts without the excess baggage of the message histories

If you delete all your msg histories in ICQ, the database folder should get small enough to be copied onto a floppy... at least it would be small enough for you to send it through e-mail...
